About me – my Journey!

My name is Jason North.

I’m 56 years young.

I’m married with two grown up children

I love dogs

I enjoy tennis, golf and hiking.

I am the cook in the family and I always laugh at my own jokes!

I have enjoyed an impressive 35 year career in estate agency since joining my first company in 1987 and climbing the ladder to the position of equity partner in one of the most established and professional estate agencies in the country. I have gained, through excellent training and hands-on experience, a complete knowledge of how to be an effective property consultant.

Working in the highly competitive prime property sector demands tenacity, determination and the ability to act expeditiously with total professionalism, creating and maintaining good relationships with contacts across the sector.

However, having that experience and being able to apply it can only take you so far. A lot of estate agents are purely motivated by the next commission but like most lifelong careers, money is only a means to an end. One learns over time that you have to genuinely love the client relationship, and be interested in people to be really effective. if not, it will show.

And so it was with these tools that I left London, for family reasons, to work in the home counties of Kent, Sussex and Surrey as a buying and acquisitions consultant and it was here that I had an epiphany.

There is an elemental difference in the way city dwellers and country homeowners view their homes. Modern Londoners move quite frequently, rarely staying in one house for longer than four years. They tend to modernise, change and decorate their properties with an eye on the eventual sale price when they move on. Their house is an asset.

For most country dwellers, properties are not just lucrative investments. They are our “safe place” stuffed full of the memories and emotions of many many years. They are often our security blanket, where we can close the door and leave the crazy world outside. Quite simply put, where we live is our HOME.

For this reason, the prospect of moving home can understandably be completely overwhelming for many people and none more so than the elderly generation who can sometimes feel frustrated with the pace, complexities and technology of 21st century life.

I have seen at first hand people left alone by divorce, separation or death, struggling in homes far too big for them but feeling overwhelmed by the whole idea of moving, even when they knew in their heart it was in their best interests. All they needed was a trusted guiding hand to lean on, to help navigate the complexities of selling a home which let’s face it can be daunting for anyone. For some this is a trusted family member but this is not the case for everyone, distance, family dynamics and ill health can only add to the worry.

And so this is why I created my bespoke selling management service, driven by the importance of support for, and with the well being of, the client at its heart. I am very proud of how we have enabled so many people to achieve what they thought was insurmountable.

I look forward to helping you too.
